Today Marks The 45th Anniversary of Shalamar’s 4th Studio Album “Three for Love” Originally Released on December 15, 1980.
“Three for Love” is the fourth album by R&B group Shalamar released in 1980 on SOLAR Records.
The album peaked at #6 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart, and at #44 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.
Three songs were released as singles "Full of Fire", "Make That Move" and "This Is for the Lover in You".
"Full of Fire" reached #24 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart, and at #55 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"Make That Move" peaked at #6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart, and at #60 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"This Is for the Lover in You" reached #17 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles charts.
Other album standouts include "Pop Along Kid," "Attention To My Baby," and "Somewhere There's a Love".
The album remains popular, with fans still praising its quality years after its release.
