Today Marks The 44th Anniversary of Central Line’s Debut Self-Titled Studio Album “Central Line” Originally Released on December 9, 1981.

 

Central Line is the debut studio album by Britfunk band Central Line, released by Mercury Records.

 

The album was released in the United States with the album title “Breaking Point” which featured a different album cover art and different tracklisting.

 

The album reached #32 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart and at #145 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.

 

Two songs were released as singles from the album "That's No Way to Treat My Love" and "Walking into Sunshine".

 

"That's No Way to Treat My Love" failed to chart in the United States.

 

"Walking into Sunshine" peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart and at #84 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
