​Today Marks The 50th Anniversary of Mass Production’s Debut Studio Album “Welcome to Our World” Originally Released on January 1, 1976.

 

“Welcome to Our World” is the debut studio album by Norfolk, Virginia funk/soul band Mass Production released in 1976 on Cotillion Records.

 

The album reached #44 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.

 

The album’s title track “Welcome to Our World (Of Merry Music)” peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Play chart, #32 on the U.S. Billboard R&B singles chart and at #68 on Billboard's Hot 100.
