Today Marks The 48th Anniversary of Slave's Sophomore Album "The Hardness of the World" Originally Released December 5, 1977.

 

“The Hardness of the World” is the second album by Dayton, Ohio funk band Slave, released in 1977, their second album release that year.

 

The album peaked at #67 on The Billboard 200 chart and at #31 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart

 

The lead single "The Party Song" reached number 22 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.

 

The second single released "Baby Sinister" peaked at #74 on Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart.
