Today Marks The 45th Anniversary of Con Funk Shun’s 7th Studio Album “Touch” Originally Released on November 20, 1980.
“Touch” is the seventh studio album by the Vallejo, California funk/r&b band Con Funk Shun, released in 1980 on Mercury Records.
The album peaked at #7 on the U.S. Billboard Top Soul LPs, and at #51 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes charts.
Two songs were released as singles from the album, "Lady's Wild" and "Too Tight".
"Lady's Wild" reached #42 on the U.S. Hot Black Singles charts.
"Too Tight" peaked at #8 on the U.S. Hot Black Singles chart, #25 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and at #40 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
The album itself received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike calling the album rushed and unpolished.
