Today Marks The 44th Anniversary of Bohannon's 15th Studio Album “Alive” Originally Released on November 20, 1981.
“Alive” is the fifteenth studio album by Bohannon released in 1981 on Phase II Records.
The album didn’t chart in the United States, However it did fairly well in the United Kingdom.
The album features his signature hard-hitting style, including the standout tracks "Take The Country To New York City" and "A Happy Song For You".
The album also features "Let's Start II Dance Agin": An updated version of his 1978 hit, featuring a rap from Perry Johnson.
“Let's Start II Dance Again” peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, and at #41 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles charts.
Other standout tracks are "Take The Country To New York City", "A Happy Song For You" and "You're The One".
The album is considered a successful showcase of Bohannon's talents, bridging classic funk with more modern sounds of the era.
