Today Marks The 43rd Anniversary of The Pointer Sisters’ 8th Studio Album “Black & White” Originally Released on June 12, 1981.

“Black & White” is the eighth studio album by the Pointer Sisters, released in 1981 on the Planet Records.
The album peaked at #9 on the U.S Billboard .Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and at #13 on the U.S.Billboard 200 chart.
Four songs were released as singles from the album "Slow Hand", "What a Surprise!", “Sweet Lover Man” and "Should I Do It".
“Slow Hand” peaked at #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the US Cash Box Top 100. The song also peaked at #6 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary and at #7 on the US Billboard Hot R&B Songs charts.
"What a Surprise!" reached #52 on the US Billboard Hot R&B Songs charts.
“Sweet Lover Man” was the third single from the album it failed to reach the Billboard charts.
"Should I Do It" reached #13 on the US Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart and at #19 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
“Black & White” was certified Gold in September 1981. The album was remastered and issued on CD with bonus tracks in 2009 by Wounded Bird Records.
