Today Marks The 39th Anniversary of The Deele’s 2nd Studio Album “Material Thangz” Originally Released on June 4, 1985.
“Material Thangz” is the second album by The Deele. Released in 1985 on the SOLAR Records.
The album reached #29 on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and at #155 on the Billboard 200 chart.
"Sweet Nothingz" was the first single released from the album it failed to reach the Billboard charts.
"Suspicious" reached #66 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
"Material Thangz" reached #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
The song "Sweet November" was later covered by R&B group Troop, who turned the song into a #1 R&B hit in 1992.
