Today Marks The 44th Anniversary of The Commodore’s 8th Studio Album “Heroes” Originally Released on June 4, 1980.
“Heroes” is the eighth studio album by the Commodores, released in June 1980 by Motown Records.
The album peaked at #3 on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and at #7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts.
"Old-Fashion Love" peaked at # 8 on the U.S. Billboard R&B singles charts and at #20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"Heroes" reached #27 on the U.S. Billboard R&B singles charts and at #54 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
“Heroes” was nominated for a Grammy award in the category of Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
"Jesus Is Love" reached #34 on the U.S. Billboard R&B singles charts.
Record World called the single "Jesus Is Love" an "inspirational ballad."
