Today Marks The 49th Anniversary of New Birth’s 7th Studio Album “Dream Merchant” Originally Released on June 6, 1975.

“Dream Merchant” is the seventh album by American funk and R&B collective New Birth, released in 1975 by Classic Sound, Inc.

This rare album was released in 1975 contains previously released songs from the album “Blind Baby” and songs that were released on the “Love Potion” album that was released in 1976.

The title track “Dream Merchant” reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles" chart and at #36 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

This album contains a live version of “The Long and Winding Road" which reached #91 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles" chart.
