Klymaxx - Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman


 Today Marks The 43rd Anniversary of Klymaxx’s Debut Studio Album “Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman” Originally Released on June 17, 1981.

“Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman” is the debut album by all-female R&B Funk band Klymaxx. Released in 1981 on SOLAR Records.
The album was produced by Lakeside’s band members Stephen Shockley and Otis Stokes, both also contributed to some of the album’s song writing as well.
The album’s title “Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman” is taken from an American magazine last published by the Meredith Corporation.
Upon the album’s release it failed to reach the Billboard charts.
Two songs were released from the album the title track “Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman” and "I Want to Love You Tonight".
“Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman” reached #74 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Song chart.
The second single "I Want to Love You Tonight" failed to reach the Billboard charts.
