Earth, Wind & Fire - I Am

Today Marks The 45th Anniversary of Earth, Wind & Fire’s 9th Studio Album “I Am” Originally Released in June 9,1979.
“I Am” is the ninth studio album by the American band Earth, Wind & Fire, released in June 1979 by ARC/Columbia Records.
The album peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Soul Albums chart, and at #3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
They released five songs as singles from the album "Boogie Wonderland", "After the Love Has Gone", "In the Stone", "Star" and "Can't Let Go".
"Boogie Wonderland" peaked at #14 on the U.S. Billboard dance chart, #6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
"Boogie Wonderland" was Grammy nominated in the categories of Best Disco Recording and Best R&B Instrumental Performance.
"After the Love Has Gone" peaked at #2 on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart, and at #3 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
The song was Grammy-nominated in the category of Record of the Year. "After the Love Has Gone" also won a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.
"In the Stone" reached #23 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles and at #58 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"Star" reached #47 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles and at #64 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"Can't Let Go" was the album’s 5th and final single released from the album, the song was released i overseas it peaked at #12 on the Blues & Soul Top British Soul Singles chart, #31 on the Dutch Pop Singles chart and #46 on the UK Pop Singles chart.
The album was certified Double Platinum in the U.S. by the RIAA, Platinum in the UK by the BPI, and Platinum in Canada by Music Canada.
