Today Marks The 44th Anniversary of Breakwater’s Sophomore Studio Album “Splashdown” Originally Released on June 1, 1980.
“Splashdown” is the second studio album by Philadelphia funk/soul band, Breakwater released in 1980 by Arista Records.
The album reached #34 on the U.S. Billboard US Black Albums chart.
“Splashdown Time” reached #59 on the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and #62 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
“Say You Love Me Girl” reached #79 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
"Release The Beast" was the third single from the album it failed to chart on the Billboard charts.
