“S.O.S.” is the debut studio album by R&B/funk band The S.O.S. Band released in 1980 on Tabu Records.
The album peaked at #2 on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and at #12 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
"Take Your Time (Do It Right)" peaked at #1 on both of the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs charts. The song also rose to #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"S.O.S. (Dit Dit Dit Dash Dash Dash Dit Dit Dit)" reached #20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and at #54 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"What's Wrong with Our Love Affair?" reached
#87 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
The album was a hit at nightclubs and "Take Your Time (Do It Right)" became a disco classic.
