Today Marks The 17th Anniversary of Funkadelic’s 13th Studio Album “By Way of the Drum” Originally Released on May 15, 2007.

“By Way of the Drum” is the thirteenth studio album by the American funk rock band Funkadelic released on Hip-O Select Records in May 2007.

The album was recorded between the years of 1983 and 1985. The original sessions were produced by George Clinton, while Harry Weinger and Alan Leeds serve as compilation producers.

The album’s title track “By Way of the Drum” was released as a single, but was shelved until its release in 2007.
