Klymaxx - The Maxx Is Back

Today Marks The 34th Anniversary of Klymaxx’s 5th Studio Album “The Maxx Is Back” Originally Released on May 15, 1990.
“The Maxx Is Back” is the fifth studio album by Klymaxx, released in 1990 on MCA Records.
The album reached #32 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Albums chart and at #168 on the Billboard 200.
Two singles were released from the album "Good Love" and "Private Party".
"Good Love" reached #4 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles chart.
"Private Party" was a moderate hit, reaching 62 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles chart.
The album has sold approximately 166,000 copies in the U.S'.
“The Maxx Is Back” was the first Klymaxx album that consisted of three original members, Lorena Porter Shelby (lead vocals), Cheryl Cooley (guitar) and Robbin Grider (keyboards).
The groups founder and leader Bernadette Cooper (vocals/drums), Lynn Malsby (keyboards) and Joyce "Fenderella" Irby (bass guitar/vocals) were not involved in the project.
