Today Marks The 46th Anniversary of Bohannon’s 12th Studio Album “Music in the Air” Originally Released on February 19, 1980.
“Music in the Air” is the twelfth studio album by disco-funk percussionist Bohannon released in 1980 on Mercury Records.
The album reached #72 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's charts.
The song "Baby I'm for Real" was released as a single from the album.
"Baby I'm for Real" reached #54 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles charts.
The album features a mix of high-energy, percussion-driven funk and disco, often described as "trance" or "hypnotic" due to its repetitive, dance-focused nature.
The album was produced , arranged, directed and written by Hamilton Bohannon.
