Today Mark The 49th Anniversary of Roy Ayers’ Studio Album “Vibrations” Originally Released on December 1, 1976.

 

“Vibrations” is a Roy Ayers studio album released under the Roy Ayers Ubiquity umbrella. It was released in 1976 on Polydor Records.

 

The album peaked at #8 on the U.S. Billboard Jazz Albums chart, #74 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart and at #11 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart.

 

“Vibrations” is a quintessential jazz-funk album it features the signature R&B-infused jazz-funk sound that Roy Ayers had established by this point in his career.

 

The album is praised for its standout songs, including the iconic "Searching," the funky "Domelo (Give It To Me)," and the uptempo "Come Out And Play".
