T. S. Monk - More of the Good Life

Today Marks The 44th Anniversary of T. S. Monk's 2nd Studio Album “More of the Good Life” Originally Released on November 1, 1981.

“More of the Good Life” is the second studio album by Jazz/funk musician T. S. Monk released in 1981 on Mirage Records.

The album reached #176 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.

Two songs were released as singles from the album, “Too Much Too Soon” and “More to Love”.

“Too Much Too Soon” reached #56 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.

“More to Love” reached #75 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.

Other album standout tracks are, "Everybody Get On Up And Dance", and "Oh! Oh! Speedo”.

The album More of the Good Life continued the successful formula of the band's debut album. It features a cool, harmony-driven groove with T.S. Monk on drums and occasional lead vocals, complemented by two female singers.

The album is known for its dance floor appeal, combining boogie-era grooves with jazz-tinged elements.

The album was produced by Sandy Linzer.
