
Today Marks The 44th of Switch’s 5th Studio Album “Switch V” Originally Released November 21, 1981.
“Switch V” is the fifth studio album by R&B funk group Switch. It was released in 1980 on Gordy Records.
The album reached #38 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart and at #174 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.
Two songs were released as singles from the album "I Do Love You" and "Call on Me".
"I Do Love You" reached #73 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
"Call on Me" reached #70 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
“Switch V” was the first album recorded without band members Bobby and Thomas DeBarge, However Bobby DeBarge is featured on the song “ Luv It.”
The DeBarge brothers would be replaced by two new members Terrance Gaines and Attala Zane Giles.
The song “I'll Always Keep” was co-written and produced by Jermaine Jackson who also sang background vocals on the song.
“Switch V” would served as the band’s last and final album on the Gordy Records.
