Today Marks The 41st Anniversary of Midnight Star’s 5th Studio Album “Planetary Invasion” Originally Released on November 12, 1984.
“Planetary Invasion” is the fifth studio album by R&B funk band Midnight Star. Released in 1984 on SOLAR Records.
The album peaked at #7 on the U.S. Billboard Black LPs chart and at #32 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
Three songs were released as singles from the album "Operator", "Scientific Love" and "Body Snatchers".
"Operator" peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, #15 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Scientific Love" reached #16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, #19 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and at #80 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Body Snatchers" reached #31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.
The album was produced by band member Reggie Calloway.
