Today Marks The 41st Anniversary of Klymaxx’s 3rd Studio Album “Meeting in the Ladies Room” Originally Released on November 30, 1984.
“Meeting in the Ladies Room” is the third studio album by Klymaxx released in 1984 days on Constellation/MCA Records.
The album peaked at #9 on the U.S. Billboard Top Black Albums chart and at #18 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
Four songs were released as singles from the album "The Men All Pause", the album’s title track “Meeting in the Ladies Room", "Lock and Key" and "I Miss You".
"The Men All Pause" peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles chart, #80 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #9 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
"Meeting in the Ladies Room" peaked at #4 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles chart, #59 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #9”22on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
"Lock and Key" was a moderate hit single for the band it reached #47 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles chart.
"I Miss You" was the band’s biggest commercial crossover hit it peaked at #3 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.
Klymaxx gained airplay on MTV, VH1 and BET with the videos of their popular songs .
The album was certified gold in the United States by the RIAA which sold over 500,000 copies.
