Today Marks The 42nd Anniversary of The System’s Debut Studio Album “Sweat” Originally Released on June 19, 1983.

“Sweat” is the 1983 debut studio album by American American synth-pop, funk duo The System, The album was released in 1983 on Mirage Records.

The album reached #14 on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and at #94 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

The album two commercially successful songs "It's Passion" and "You Are in My System".

"It's Passion" was their debut single it reached #23 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts.

"You Are in My System" peaked at #10 on the

 U.S. Billboard R&B Singles Chart, #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and at #64 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

The album was produced by the duo David Frank and Mic Murphy.
