Today Marks The 48th Anniversary of Cameo’s Debut Studio Album “Cardiac Arrest” Originally Released on June 29, 1977.
“Cardiac Arrest” is the debut studio album by New York City funk band Cameo released in 1977 on Chocolate City Records.
The album reached #16 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart, and at #116 on the U. S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes charts.
Four songs were released as singles from the album, "Find My Way", "Rigor Mortis", "Post Mortem" and
"Find My Way" peaked at #3 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
"Rigor Mortis" reached #33 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
"Post Mortem" reached #70 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
"Funk Funk" reached #20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
The album was produced by Larry Blackmon.
