Today Marks The 43rd Anniversary of Odyssey’s 5th Studio Album “Happy Together” Originally Released on May 25, 1982.
“Happy Together” is the fifth studio album by New York City R&B group Odyssey released in 1982 on RCA Victor Records.
The album reached #23 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP charts.
Two songs were released as singles from the album "Inside Out" and "Magic Touch".
"Inside Out" peaked at #12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart, #25 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and at #104 just beneath the Billboard Hot 100.
"Inside Out" was the group’s second highest charting single on the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at #3 on the UK singles chart.
Inside Out’s is quite identical to Slave’s hit single “Watching You” in which they both have the same backing tracks with slight alterations that are distinctive from one another and both songs were produced by Jimmy Douglass who produced many of Slave’s albums.
"Magic Touch" reached #41 on the UK Singles charts.
The album was produced by Jimmy Douglass.
