Today Marks The 51st Anniversary of Loose Ends’ Debut Studio Album “A Little Spice” Originally Released on May 25, 1984.
“A Little Spice” is the debut studio album released by the English R&B band Loose Ends released in 1984 on Virgin Records.
The album peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Black LPs chart, and at #46 on the Billboard Top LPs & Tape charts.
The album also went to #46 on the United Kingdom Official Albums Chart.
Three songs were released as singles from the album, "Tell Me What You Want", "Emergency (Dial 999)" and "Choose Me (Rescue Me)".
"Tell Me What You Want" reached #74 on the UK singles chart.
"Emergency (Dial 999)" reached #41 on the UK singles chart.
"Choose Me (Rescue Me)" reached #47 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, It also reached #59 on the UK singles chart.
The following year, an alternative version of the album, featuring "Hangin' on a String (Contemplating)" in place of "Feels So Right Now" and a re-ordered overall track listing was released for the U.S. market.
