Today Marks The 51st Anniversary of Sly & The Family Stone’s 6th Studio Album “Fresh” Originally Released June 30, 1973.

“Fresh” is the sixth album by American funk band Sly & the Family Stone, released by Epic/CBS Records in June 1973.

The album peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Soul Albums chart and at #7 on the U.S. Billboard Pop Albums chart.

Three songs were released as singles from the album "If You Want Me to Stay", "Frisky" and “If It Were Left Up to Me”.

"If You Want Me to Stay" reached #12 on the U.S. Billboard Pop Chart, and at #3 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles Chart.

"Frisky" reached #28 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles Chart and #79 on the U.S. Billboard Pop Chart.

“If It Were Left Up to Me” reached #57 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles Chart

“Fresh” was ranked number 186 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
