 =Today Marks The 46th Anniversary of Atlantic Starr’s Debut Self-Titled Album “Atlantic Starr” Originally Released on June 30, 1978.

“Atlantic Starr” is the self-titled debut album by R&B/funk band Atlantic Starr released in 1978 on A&M Records.
The album reached #21 on the U.S. Billboard R&B/Soul charts and at #67 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart.
Three songs were released as singles from the album "Stand Up", “Gimme Your Luvin'” and "Keep It Comin'".
"Stand Up" peaked at #16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart and at #26 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
“Gimme Your Luvin'” was the second single from the album it was released in the United Kingdom, The song reached #66 on the UK Singles chart.
"Keep It Comin'" reached #49 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart.
The nine-piece band also had an impressive showing on the Billboard R&B charts with "(I'll Never Miss) The Love I Never Had" and "With Your Love I Come Alive".
The album was produced by Bobby Eli, founding member and lead guitarist of Philadelphia studio group MFSB.
