Today Marks The 51st Anniversary of Curtis Mayfield’s 4th Studio Album “Back to the World” Originally Released on May 2, 1973.
Back to the World is the fourth studio album by Curtis Mayfield, released in 1973 under Curtom Records.
The album peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and at #16 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Four tracks were released from the album “Future Shock”, "If I Were Only a Child Again”, "Can't Say Nothin'” and “Kung Fu”
“Future Shock” peaked at #11 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"If I Were Only a Child Again” peaked at #22 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and at #71 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"Can't Say Nothin'” peaked at #16 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and at #88 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“Kung Fu” peaked at #3 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
