Starpoint - Restless

Today Marks The 41st Anniversary of Starpoint’s 7th Stuio Album “Restless” on March 12, 1985.

“Restless” is the seventh studio album by Crownsville, Maryland R&B-Funk band Starpoint released in 1985 on Elektra/ Asylum Records.

The album reached #14 on the U.S. Billboard Top Black Albums chart, and at #60 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

Four songs were released as singles from the album, Object of My Desire, What You Been Missin', Restless, and Till the End of Time.

“Object of My Desire” peaked at #8 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, #12 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and at #25 on the U.S. Billboard Billboard Hot 100.

“What You Been Missin'” peaked at #9 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.

“Restless”  reached #11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, #13 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and at #46 on the U.S. Billboard Billboard Hot 100.

“Till the End of Time” reached #64 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.

The album was produced by the team of Keith Diamond and Lionel Job (Diamond is also credited for writing two and co-writing four more of the eight selections here).

The non-single tracks (as always) were just as strong, with "Emotions" and "One More Night" being the standouts, in addition to a song that had a lot of pop potential, "See the Light".
