Today Marks The 45th Anniversary of Rose Royce’s 6th Studio Album “Golden Touch” Originally Released on December 17, 1980.
“Golden Touch” is the sixth studio album by funk band Rose Royce released in 1980 on Whitfield Records.
The album reached #30 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart, and at #160 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.
Four singles were released from the album, You're a Winner, Funkin' Around, Golden Touch
Songs like the dreamy "Golden Touch," ballad "And You Wish For Yesterday," and the funky "Funkin' Around" are highlighted as standout tracks
You're a Winner, Funkin' Around, and I Wanna Make It with You all failed to chart on the United States Billboard charts.
The album’s title track “Golden Touch reached #56 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles charts.
The album was reissued as a two-fer CD along with Jump Street, a 1981 album by the band, which also featured the new vocalists.
