Today Marks The 50th Anniversary of The Fatback Band’s 6th Studio Album “Raising Hell” Originally Released on November 1, 1975.
“Raising Hell” is the sixth studio album by New York City, disco/funk band “The Fatback Band” released in 1975 on Event Records Inc.
The album reached #37 on the U.S. Billboard Soul LP's chart, and at #158 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs & Tapes charts.
Three singles were released from the album, "(Are You Ready) Do the Bus Stop", "(Do the) Spanish Hustle", and "Party Time".
"(Are You Ready) Do the Bus Stop" reached #15 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and at #37 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles charts.
"(Do the) Spanish Hustle" peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and at #12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart, and at #101 just beneath the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
"Party Time" reached #84 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.
The album “Raising Hell” was a significant success, particularly in the UK, helping to solidify the band's reputation as a premier disco group.
