“Light of Life” is the eighth studio album by the Memphis, Tennessee, funk band the Bar-Kays released in 1978 on Mercury Records.
The album peaked at #15 on the Billboard U.S. Soul charts and at #86 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts.
Three songs were released from the album, "Are You Being Real", "I'll Dance" and "Shine".
The single Are You Being Real peaked at #61 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Songs charts.
The second single "I'll Dance" peaked at #26 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Songs charts.
The third and most popular single off the album "Shine" peaked #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Songs charts.
