Today Marks The 48th Anniversary of Sun’s Sophomore Studio Album “Sun Power” Originally Released on May 14, 1977.

“Sun Power” is the second album by Dayton, Ohio funk band Sun released in 1977 on Capitol Records.

The album peaked at #39 on the U.S. Billboard Top Soul Albums chart.

The album’s lead single "Boogie Bopper" reached #50 on the U.S. Billboard R&B Singles Chart.
