Rick James - Wonderful

Today Marks The 36th Anniversary of Rick James’ 10th Studio Album “Wonderful” Originally Released on July 5, 1988.
“Wonderful is the 10th studio album by American funk musician Rick James, released in 1988 via Reprise Records.
The album peaked at #12 on the U.S. Billboard
R&B Album chart and at #148 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
Three songs were released as singles from the album "Loosey's Rap", “Wonderful” and
"Loosey's Rap" peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Black Singles chart and at #25 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Songs chart. The single did not make the Billboard Hot 100.
"Loosey's Rap" featured rapper Roxanne Shanté, Rick James released a video for the song but Roxanne Shanté didn’t appear in the video.
“Wonderful” reached #50 on the U.S. Billboard Black Singles chart.
The song “Sexual Luv Affair” was the album’s third single it failed to chart on the Billboard charts.
The album also features guest appearances by Cameo’s frontman Larry Blackmon who appears on the song "So Tight".
The song “Hot Summer Nights” is a duet with singer Chrissi Scinta.
