“Why Can't We Be Friends?” is the seventh studio album by American band War, released on June 16, 1975 by United Artists Records.
The album peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B LPs and at #8 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs chart.
The album released two of their most popular songs as singles, the album’s title track “Why Can't We Be Friends?” and “Low Rider”.
“Why Can't We Be Friends?” Peaked at #6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and at #9 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.
“Low Rider” peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black Singles chart and at #7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
The album “Why Can't We Be Friends?” was listed as one of Billboard’s number-one R&B albums of 1975.
