Today Marks The 44th Anniversary of Tom Browne’s Sophomore Studio Album “Love Approach” Originally Released on June 23, 1980.
“Love Approach”is the second studio album by American jazz/funk trumpeter Tom Browne released in 1980 on GRP Records.
The album reached #1 on both of the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B LPs and the U.S. Billboard US
The album released the hit single "Funkin' for Jamaica (N.Y.)" it peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart and at No.9 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
The song "Forever More" from the album was heard as part of the beginning and end of the broadcast day on the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio, WCMH-TV in the mid 1980s.
