Today Marks The 45th Anniversary of Switch’s Sophomore Album “Switch II” Originally Released April 1, 1979.

Switch II is the second album by the R&B, Funk group Switch, released in 1979 on Gordy Records.
The album peaked at #8 on the Billboard US Top R&B Albums chart and at #37 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Two singles were released from the album “Best Beat In Town" and "I Call Your Name".
“Best Beat In Town" peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, #65 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and at #69 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"I Call Your Name" peaked #8 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart and at #83 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"I Call Your Name" became one of the band's biggest and most often-sampled hits,
The album was produced by Jermaine Jackson, Bobby DeBarge and Gregory Williams.
